Contact lenses:
1) We fit contact lenses for patients,
but as we are concerned with the overall health of the eye, we
may feel that it is necessary to wait for the time being or that
they are not appropriate at all. The procedure for fitting
lenses requires a minimum of 3 visits.
2) There is a fitting appointment
required to determine which lenses would work for you, if we
decide that you are a candidate.
3) There is an appointment to teach you
how to insert, remove, and care for the lenses. This appointment
will be a minimum of 1 hour.
4) For the teach appointment it is
critical that long hair/bangs be away from the eyes and face.
5) A follow-up appointment is needed to
see how the lenses are sitting on your eye, and if any
adjustments need to be made. It is important for this
appointment that the lenses be inserted at least 1 hour prior to
the visit.
6) The lenses will be purchased through
our office.
7) When you need a new supply of contact
lenses, call our office to request another supply. If you leave
a message, please include which eye(s) you need and the
quantity.
8) It is best to call when you start the
2nd last pack of disposable lenses, to allow time for the order
to arrive before you run out.
